BSNL introduces 4G testing, 2GB free data on SIM upgrades are available

Government Telecom Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited BSNL has also started testing 4G service. For this, BSNL users will have to upgrade their SIM card to 4G. The company is not taking any charge to change the SIM and is also giving 2GB data benefits. Let us tell you that the three private telecom companies in the country are currently providing 4G services in the country. BSNL has not yet started 4G services commercially. BSNL has started testing this service in Gujarat Telecom Circle for the time being. In the coming time, the company can start this service in the other 19 telecom circles of the country.

BSNL has got green signal to start 4G service on 2100MHz band. The company is currently using this band for 3G service. It has not yet been upgraded to the 4G spectrum. As the company uses this spectrum for the 4G service, the 3G service will be phased out. The company has decided to launch it after 4 years of launch of 4G service in the country, so that around 50 million users of the company can get fast internet data benefits across the country.

Assuming media reports, 24.6Mbps downloading and 9.25Mbps uploading speed has been recorded during testing of 4G service. However, currently select consumers of BSNL are enjoying this service. After BSNL Gujarat and Maharashtra Telecom Circle, soon the 4G service will be done in other circles of the country including Kerala. Even before this, BSNL has started 4G service in 46 districts of Andhra Pradesh. But it is not commercially present. Apart from this, the company last month contracted 5G technology with technical company Ericsson. Since the beginning of the BSNL 4G service, the other three private telecom companies can get a challenge.
